The Province of Huarochiri, located in the Lima area, offers many opportunities for hiking easy at altitude. On many peaks you can see the Pacific. A panorama taken from the mountains above the village of San Juan de Lahuaytambo.
One of the areas of climbing the most developed and crowded near Lima is named "La Escuela". Those rocks are just a few miles Chosica entry point of the province of Huarochiri.
Last weekend, we went for a walk in Marcahuasi. Situated above the small village of San Pedro de Casta, this plateau attracts tourists to Lima in search of a secluded place to camp. Photos from a weekend hiking at altitude and the sun (for a change of Lima in this period).

was to avoid at all costs the city to aerate the head. And it worked, Cape this week on the set of Marcahuasi, a place full of beliefs in a splendid setting close to Lima.
Peru is a country where nature takes an important place. After exploring a bit of desert in Paracas, I left with much to see how the mountain was. So an idea of hiking in two days or more, a few hours from Lima.
