Ski trekking in the Alps
We went for a trek up to the peak called “Roche Plane”, close to the village named “Arêche”, in the “Beaufortain”.
As you will see on the map, we started from Arêche, up to the houses of “Plan Villard” following a path in the forrest, to an unnammed pass labelled “Pause 2″, down to the valley and then again up to the pass of “Roche Plane” and to the peak.”.
We went down another way, with a short slope at around 40° near the peak and then some rather easy skiing with a long way in the forrest.
Pictures of the trek can be found in this album:
And here are the map and the profile of the trek.
