Something which stroke me when I passed neadby the Taj Mahal was the closeness between this monument, the touristic hype, the money flowing, the cleanlyness of the place and as well the slums, poor people, polluted river and open-air garbage depot. Poor farmers were however more friendly than the guides and other crooks trying to catch you in front of the monument.
